Jerry Searfoss has served on the Green Brook Township Committee for over 9 years.
Jerry served as Green Brook’s Mayor for 3 years. During his term, Jerry’s proven leadership was instrumental in helping Green Brook through the trying times of Super Storm Sandy.
Jerry also has served on the Green Brook Municipal Drug Alliance Committee, Elders’ Affairs Committee, the Green Brook Board of Health, the Green Brook Open Space Committee, the Green Brook Recreation Committee, as Police/Fire/EMS Liaison, and Board of Education Liaison in service of the Township.
Jerry also served on the Green Brook Board of Education for 5 years, including 2 years as Vice President, where he was instrumental in helping plan and facilitate the recent major expansions to our Grammar and Middle Schools.
Jerry is a lifelong New Jersey resident and has lived in Green Brook for 19 years with his wife Kate and their three sons, aged 21, 18, and 17, all of whom attend or graduated from the Green Brook school system.
A graduate of Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, PA with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Marketing, and a 25 year veteran in the financial services field. Jerry is a Regional Sales Manager for Ferrari Financial Services, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
Consistently giving his time as a volunteer, Jerry has logged 12 years of service with the Green Brook Little League and 4 years with the Washington Rock Pop Warner Football serving as a coach for each of his sons.
Jerry has been a member of the Green Brook Lions Club for 7 years and has also served as Club Secretary.
In total, Jerry Searfoss has logged over 15 years of continuous dedicated service to Green Brook Township along with 12 years of volunteer service.

Jim has served the Township of Green Brook for over 12 years on the Board of Education, and began serving on the Township Committee in 2015.
Jim has served on the Green Brook Board of Education for 12 years, including 9 years as President, 2 years as the representative to Watchung Hills Regional High School Board of Education, and one year as the President of the Watchung Hills Regional High School Board of Education. During his tenure, Jim was instrumental in preserving a high quality of education, while maintaining financial discipline of our district.
Jim has also served on the Green Brook Municipal Drug Alliance Committee and the Cultural, Heritage and Historic Preservation Committee.
Jim is a lifelong New Jersey resident and has lived in Green Brook for 19 years with his three sons, aged 18, 15, and 13, all of whom attend the Green Brook school system, and participate in Roller Hockey and Boy Scouts.
Jim is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy NY, with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and also a graduate of Rutgers Graduate School of Management in Newark NJ, with a Master of Business Administration in Finance.
Jim has been employed with Public Service Electric and Gas Company for over 25 years, and is currently the Director of Investment Planning and Resource Development, in the corporate office, Newark NJ.
Consistently giving his time as a volunteer for nearly 25 years, Jim has also been a Trustee of the J.S. Henderson Scholarship Fund; Director of HomeSharing of Somerset County; and, CFO and Treasurer of Rensselaer Acacia Corporation.
In total, Jim Benscoter has logged over 12 years of continuous dedicated service to Green Brook Township along with nearly 25 years of volunteer service.
